Dear Deutscher Xiangqi-Bund,
Founded in 1988, the Toronto Xiangqi Association is an Ontario-registered non-profit organization and has been a proud member of the World Xiangqi Federation since 1993. Together with our sister club, the Markham Xiangqi Association, we have been promoting Xiangqi (Chinese Chess) in the Toronto area since the 1970s, well before our official establishment. Over time, our focus has expanded from the Greater Toronto Area to Canada, the US, the Far East, and the Internet. We are excited to announce that on February 15 and 16, 2025, we will be hosting the 1st Markham Cup Xiangqi International Invitational Championship. This two-day event, organized by the Markham Xiangqi Association and sponsored by the City of Markham, will be held at the Markham City Centre.
We cordially invite the Deutscher Xiangqi-Bund to send a team to visit the City of Markham this coming February to participate in our Championship and join us for our gala dinner on the evening of February 16 at the Hilton Hotel Markham

During your visit, we will be responsible for hosting the events, including the open and closing ceremony and gala dinner. All other expenses, including transportation, local tours, and accommodations, will be borne by your organization. Please find attached the regulation for our event for your reference.
